A slow southward moving cold front stalled out just south of the I69 corridor. South of this front, well above normal temperatures and an unseasonably moist airmass resulted in a moderately unstable atmosphere. This set the stage for slow moving pulse like thunderstorms to produce large hail and very heavy rain.
