A low pressure system moved east into the Great Lakes region on June 4th, dragging a frontal boundary into the Mississippi River Valley Region. Some scattered showers and thunderstorms developed across areas south of I 80 during the late afternoon and evening. Some were severe producing large hail and damaging winds. Heavy rains also accompanied the storms, which lead to some flash flooding.
