The flash flooding and flooding that occurred during the morning of August 4th was the result of two rounds of heavy rainfall. The first heavy rainfall event occurred during the afternoon and evening hours of August 2nd, with another bout of heavy rainfall that occurred during the night of August 3rd. Over 5 inches of rain fell over the two day period that resulted in flooding during the early morning hours of August 4th along the north slopes of the Adirondacks in the North Branch of the Great
