Heavy rains during the first week of July resulted in the Skunk River at Sigourney going above the moderate flood stage level of 18 feet around 10 pm July 5. It crested around 18.2 feet around 1 am CDT July 6. It fell below the moderate flood stage level around 5 am CDT July 6.
