Tropical low pressure raced north from the Carolinas to New York State and brought copious amounts of rain to the eastern Finger Lakes and eastern Lake Ontario regions. Rainfall amounts of three to four-and-a-half inches were widespread across the area. Numerous roads were closed in Ontario, Oswego, Jefferson and Lewis counties.
