A series of thunderstorms preceding a cold front dropped three to seven inches of rain across the Eastern Shore mainly during the first half of the day on the 14th. The greatest concentration of heavier rain was in Kent and northern Queen Anne's Counties. This caused flash flooding of streams and fields as well as poor drainage flooding.
