Scattered thunderstorms developed across portions of southern Gila county during the afternoon hours on August 19th, and they produced locally heavy rain, especially to the south and east of Globe. Rainfall rates were in excess of 2 inches per hour with the stronger thunderstorms. Flash flooding developed near the town of San Carlos. Fortunately, no injuries were reported due to the flooding.
