A stationary frontal boundary interacting with an influx of upper level tropical moisture from the Pacific and low level moisture from the Gulf of Mexico resulted in widespread heavy rainfall across West Central Texas. The heaviest rain fell from Crockett County to Brownwood and north to I20. Twenty four hour rainfall totals averaged around 3 to 6 inches. However, portions of Tom Green, Runnels, Concho, and Coke counties had totals of 6 to 10 inches which resulted in good rises on area lakes.
