As a slow moving cold front moved west to east across Middle Tennesssee during the late morning through afternoon hours on Sunday, January 13th, an area of showers and thunderstorms developed along and ahead of this cold front. Because of the slow movement of this cold front, the heavier showers and thunderstorms produced flash flooding in five counties across the mid state, with another two counties experiencing thunderstorm wind damage and a funnel cloud respectively.
