A surface low pressure center moved northeast along the Ohio River. Thunderstorms in the warm sector of this low produced isolated flash flooding in western Kentucky. The storms were aided by an upper-level low over the Great Lakes region with a shortwave trough extending south along the Mississippi Valley.
