The upper low that had been across the center of the country finally pushed east and into the Mid-Atlantic on the 8th, shifting the deep moisture plume slightly to the south. However, with a weak shortwave dropping into north Georgia during the afternoon, showers and thunderstorms developed again, resulting in isolated flash flooding.
