A storm system moved across New England during late Wednesday and Wednesday night. Heavy convective rainfall resulted in rises on area rivers. On the Passumpsic River at Passumpsic, the river gage exceeded flood stage during the morning. In addition, the State Highway Department reported water over portions of Routes 114 and 122 in and around Lyndonville with water over portions of Route 5 from Lyndonville to St Johnsbury Center.
