Flash Flood — Rensselaer, NY

In the wake of the July 15 rainstorm, the air mass remained very humid and unstable across eastern New York. Widely scattered thunderstorms developed late on July 16. Most of these were in Rensselaer county and produced addtional heavy rainfall. Torrential thunderstorm rains produced flooding in the town of Petersburg with some secondary roads reported washed out.
