Ahead of a slow moving cold front, a southerly flow transported plenty of moisture into the region during the day on Tuesday, June 3rd. With a moist and unstable air mass in place, plenty of slow moving showers and thunderstorms developed ahead of the approaching boundary. Some of these thunderstorms produced very heavy rain in a short period of time. This led to some flash flooding, especially in urban and poor drainage areas.
