Thunderstorms developed along a stationary front that lay west to east across southern lower Michigan. Up to three inches of rain fell on the south side of Ann Arbor, producing basement flooding and sewer backups. A railroad underpass flooded in Pittsfield Township, and street flooding was also observed in Ypsilanti.
