Thunderstorms in northwest Iowa during the late afternoon and evening of June 14th produced heavy rain which caused flash flooding. The thunderstorms also produced damaging winds and hail. The heavy rain also caused longer term lowland flooding of fields and other low areas including roads, that lasted well into the daytime hours of June 15th.
