A very moist and humid air mass was in place across the region on Wednesday, June 25th. As a slow moving cold front approached from the west, bands of heavy rain showers and thunderstorms developed ahead of the boundary. As these showers and thunderstorms repeatedly passed over the same locations, the heavy rainfall led to significant runoff, which caused flash flooding in some areas.
