Flood — La Crosse, WI

Thunderstorms developed across western Wisconsin during the evening hours of June 28th ahead of a trough of low pressure. Several of these storms produced high winds that caused considerable damage in the city of La Crosse north into Holmen (La Crosse County). Numerous trees and power lines were blown down by winds that gusted to at least 60 mph. At least 7,000 customers in the La Crosse area were without power. The power outage took out street lights and stop lights across much of the city.
