Flood — Hickman, KY

Numerous roads were closed across western Kentucky, mostly secondary roads. Two persons were injured in Hickman County when a motorist drove into floodwaters along U.S. Highway 51. The motorist, who was unable to see a flagman in dense fog, drove through water on the road until she was swept into a 30-foot wide ditch. The car was swept downstream about 30 feet and began to fill with water. The flagman rescued the motorist from the vehicle. Both were taken to a local hospital for injuries that we
