During the afternoon and evening of June 1st, thunderstorms with very heavy rain rolled across western Wisconsin. Some of these storms dumped over 3 inches of rain which caused streams in the vicinity of Westby (Vernon County) to rapidly come out of their banks spilling water over some roads.
