Flash Flood — Boone, AR

During the morning of the 17th, a large area of showers and thunderstorms moved into northern Arkansas from Missouri. During the afternoon and farther to the west, new storms developed close to a stalled front in an air mass that was much more unstable. Several severe storms, including one weak tornado, and flash flooding occurred in western Arkansas during the afternoon, and some of the storms continued into the evening.
