A broad upper-level low was over the region on August 22nd. In addition to providing the instability, the weak winds aloft within the center of the low resulted in very little to no storm motion. Precipitable water values ranged between 0.80 and 0.90 inches. Widely scattered showers developed the afternoon of the 22nd.
