Slow moving thunderstorms produced heavy rains and flash flooding along Piceance Creek near the intersection of County Roads 3 and 5. Culverts were washed out and flood waters flowed over the roadway. Mud and debris up to five feet deep were deposited on the roads, in addition to rock and mud slides in the area.
