The remnants of Tropical Storm Tammy caused widespread heavy rainfall between 3 to 7 inches across the region. Numerous reports of flooded roads were received due to the prolonged rains. Localized areas received close to 12 inches of storm total rainfall, such as the automated gauge at Montebello in Nelson County Virginia, which measured 11.36 inches.
