Four days of moderate to heavy rainfall due to tropical moisture influx from Hurricane John (which was moving up the Baja Peninsula) led to widespread flooding in the El Paso area. Water entered homes in central El Paso, and covered the majority of the roads in the two counties. Among the many road closures was Interstate 10 in central El Paso.
