The Wabash River rose above flood stage at New Harmony on April 27 and continued rising into May. The White River and Patoka River also threatened parts of Gibson and Pike Counties. Many bottomland roads were closed in Pike County along the White River. Some people were kept from their homes near the White River. In Posey County, the Wabash River flooded 15 homes and trailers.
