Some of the worst flooding occurred in the Rockhouse, Burning Fork, Dry Bread, Gun Creek, and Royalton sections of the county. Flooding washed out many driveways and private bridges. The Mountain Parkway just east of the Salyersville city limits was flooded, and had to be closed. In Salyersville, a woman had to be rescued after she drove her car into a flooded section of road.
