Flash Flood — Rensselaer, NY

A stationary front which extended across eastern New York on June 9, produced isolated severe thunderstorms and flooding. At Pittstown in Rensselaer County, a severe thunderstorm downed several trees. In northern Rensselaer County training showers and thunderstorms resulted in flash flooding when approximately 6 inches of rain fell during the late afternoon. Dirt roads were washed out in Pittstown, Raymertown and Boyntonville. Homes were evacuated and flooded in Pittstown and Boyntonville.
