On June 12, a very moist and unstable atmosphere was situated over eastern New York. This resulted in scattered severe thunderstorms and flash flooding in northern Rensselaer County. Severe thunderstorms occurred in Fulton, Montgomery, Washington, Saratoga and Rensselaer Counties. The damage from the severe thunderstorms was a result of strong winds downing trees and power lines, with the exception of one inch hail reported at Rensselaer, in Rensselaer County.
