Thunderstorms dumped up to 3 inches of rain in about 4 hours, mainly over southern portions of Champaign County. Five homes in Broadlands sustained major damage and 29 homes sustained minor damage. The local high school also suffered flood damage. Numerous roads were flooded and access to Broadlands was cut-off for several hours due to flooding. Hwy 130 and Hwy 49 were closed for several hours. No injuries were reported and damage was estimated around $200,000.
