A 63-year old man drowned near 9 am CST as he attempted to cross the North Fork of the Guadalupe River along highway 1340 for the second time that morning. He had previously crossed and was returning when his vehicle was swept downstream. The flooding along the North Fork of the the Guadalup was caused by a 2 to 3 inch rainfall the previous night.
