A quick 1 inch rainfall in 15 minutes ending at 0430CST in the city of Brookfield, on top of a saturated ground, and previous rainfalls of 1 to 2 inches the day before, resulted in flash flooding. Water quickly covered some roads to a depth of 2 to 3 feet. There was resident basement and first floor flooding, as well as business flooding. Some roads were closed until the water receded.
