Flood — Northern Litchfield, CT

Jul 16, 1996

Additional rain from a cold front which crossed New England on July 15, caused the Housatonic River in Litchfield County to go above flood stage. The rain fell upon saturated soil due to the passage of Tropical Storm Bertha on July 13. At Falls Village and Gaylordsville the river went slightly over flood stage causing minor flooding.
