Flash Flood — Iberville, LA

Jun 17, 1997

The Iberville Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness reported several roadways in the parish were flooded, including Louisiana Highway 1, due to heavy rainfall of up to 7 inches in a few hours time. In addition, damage survey by the Red Cross indicated approximately 50 houses in the parish were flooded by several inches of water. Areas suffering flooding included the communities of Plaquemine, White Castle, Bayou Goula, and St. Gabriel.
