A Nor'easter battered the Lower Maryland Eastern Shore on Tuesday, January 27th and Wednesday, January 28th. The slow movement of the storm combined with the highest astronomical tides of the month resulted in an extended period of gale to storm force onshore winds which drove tides to an estimated 8.0-8.5 feet above MLLW at Ocean City.
