Monsoonal rains produced a ten foot wall of silt-laden water down Seven castles Creek. and into the Fryingpan River. The large quantity of silt in the river suffocated an undetermined amount of rainbow trout in the Fryingpan River in the five-mile stretch between the Seven Castles Creek and the Fryingpan's confluence with the Roaring Fork River. Several sediment traps were inundated with debris.
