A storm system moved across southern Canada during Tuesday, June 30, 1998. Ahead of the associated cold front, a very moist airmass was in place across northern New York. This triggered late morning and afternoon thunderstorms with torrential rain. Local roads were washed out in extreme southern Clinton county and northern Essex county. The most extensive damage occurred in Keeseville, NY.
