Tropical Storm Charley made landfall on the middle Texas coast during the morning on August 22nd. Luckily, damage was minimal across the area, with beach erosion accounting for the damage estimates. Tides ran 2-3 feet above predicted astronomical levels. Most areas across SE Texas averaged 2-4 inches of rainfall, however locations to the coast received 4-6 inches.
