A frontal boundary moved out of the Hill Country as the upper level disturbance moved into northwest Texas and western Oklahoma early on the 14th. As the frontal boundary moved into an unstable air mass over South Texas, thunderstorms developed over the Rio Grande plains west of Cotulla. The area of thunderstorms organized into another mesoscale convective system that moved east across South Texas during the early morning hours. The squall line produced widespread tree damage in the Coastal Bend
