Thunderstorms developed over the Kansas City metropolitan area on the morning of June 23. Storms continued to back-build and dumped heavy rains on the area. Rainfall totals on the Kansas side of the Kansas City metro area were generally between 1 and 2 inches, and street flooding was widespread, especially in Kansas City, KS.
