An area of showers and thunderstorms developed in the early afternoon of the 9th across north central Oklahoma, producing isolated severe weather and heavy rainfall. Throughout the remainder of the 9th, and into the early morning hours of the 10th, storms continued to redevelop and move slowly across these same areas, resulting in widespread flooding throughout seven counties.
