A warm front brought a steady rainfall to the region during the morning of Tuesday, August 11th, with up to an inch of rainfall for many locations. As a cold front approached, another round of showers and thunderstorms occurred over the area during the mid afternoon hours. As thunderstorms repeated over the same locations in northeastern parts of the Capital Region, daily rainfall amounts exceed three inches.
