A complex of severe storms developed during the late afternoon hours of the 26th over portions of Lamb and Hockley Counties, and propagated southeastward over Lubbock. The storms produced heavy rains, hail, and severe winds that resulted in a swath of damage. Cotton crops were heavily damaged over parts of southern Lamb County and northern Hockley County.
