Flash Flood — Taylor, FL

A weak area of low pressure moved slowly across the northeast Gulf states. A tropical airmass was in place for several days, which aided in heavy rainfall amounts across the area. The heaviest rainfall fell across Taylor, Lafayette, and Dixie counties with a large area of 10-15 inches over a 4 day period. Some isolated locations in southern Lafayette county saw greater than 15 inches. This led to flooding in the area, including the Steinhatchee River, which crested in the moderate flood cate
