A area of low pressure slowly moved across South Louisiana during the 12th, 13th, and 14th. A widespread area of 6 inches or more fell across the region with some locations receiving more than 20 inches. This produced widespread flash flooding which drained from the area through the end of the month. Flooding occurred along the Vermilion and Mermentau Rivers, their tributaries, and Bayou Teche.
