A slow moving cold front and upper level storm system, combined to bring severe thunderstorms and heavy rains to the region, late on May 5th through May 6th, 2007. Several rounds of heavy rain were observed across northwest Missouri, from near St. Joseph, north to Tarkio, and east to Bethany. Rainfall amounts of from 5 to 9 inches were observed in this area.
