A slow moving cold front, combined with an upper level trough brought showers and thunderstorms late on the 18th into the 19th. Some pockets of heavy rain occurred within the overall area of showers and thunderstorms, leading to flash flooding in the West Virginia Coal Fields. Two to three inches of rain fell across a localized part of Boone and Logan Counties.
