Rain and melting snow swelled rivers and streams around Central New York during the first week in April. The Susquehanna River flooded in many areas with levels reaching moderate flood stage at Conklin and Vestal. The lake level on Cayuga Lake at Ithaca also reached the moderate flood stage causing high water problems with docks along the lake shore.
