Warm and humid air was in place across the region as a slow moving frontal system drifted into Northeast Pennsylvania. An upper level disturbance passed over the frontal boundary during the afternoon, triggering numerous torrential rain producing thunderstorms. Flash flooding developed in several locations across the northern tier counties.
