A moist low-level flow and instability aloft brought downpours and thunderstorms to the island chain, and periods of flash flooding. Gusty winds and lightning also caused damage over portions of the Big Island on the 26th; including a couple of roofs blown off homes, downed trees and power lines, and a small fire at the Hilo Medical Center caused by lightning.
